Cardiac Monitor Technician Certificate Program
This 10-hour program will prepare you to become an EKG technician, which involves monitoring and recording electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. The course includes hands-on labs and practice with EKG equipment, and prepares you to take the National Registry of Allied Health Professionals -Electrocardiograph Technician exam and other National Certification exams.
This course includes important practice and background information on the anatomy and physiology of the heart, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, electrocardiography, and stress testing. Additionally, you will practice with EKG equipment and perform hands-on labs including introduction to the function and proper use of the EKG machine and other clinical practices.
Tuition for this course is $675. This course is an online hybrid and will meet two days on site. Please check upcoming class schedule for availability.
Prerequisites: All students must have a high school diploma or GED.
